Supporters contribute directly towards the islands future
The Bardsey Island Trust is a small, independent charity, founded in 1979 with one clear goal: to protect Enlli for future generations and ensure the island remains accessible for all who wish to visit and experience its unparalleled wildlife, culture and history.
There are many ways you can help us in this mission. Whether through a one-time donation, leaving a legacy in your will, becoming a member, or volunteering, every contribution—big or small—makes a lasting impact.
The Trust was born out of the passion and commitment of a dedicated group of individuals, with support from thousands of people across Wales and the UK. Since then, the island has benefitted from the time, donations, and effort of countless supporters.
Our vision for Enlli is to make it a shining example of Welsh island life—a thriving community with a robust economy and a thriving, healthy ecology. Right now, our focus is on preserving the island’s buildings, with major restoration projects underway to ensure that both the homes and infrastructure are ready to serve the needs of our community and visitors alike.

Donate
Your donation goes a long way
The Bardsey Island Trust is a small independent charity. Our mission is to safeguard the future of Enlli for future generations to life, work, visit and explore all Enlli has to offer. Every donation helps us fix more leaky roofs, replace broken windows, run arts workshops for visitors, offer accommodation for groups working with vulnerable and young people.

Volunteers in action
Volunteering
Why not become a volunteer?
Looking for a challenge and want to be part of the team of people working hard to protect Enlli? Volunteering is the perfect opportunity to get to know Enlli, its people and experience life on a remote island.
