Following the huge success of Families Week in 2026 we will be holding another in 2027. This week will take place during the 14–21 August 2027.
What is Families Week:
Enlli offers a sanctuary for children and adults, offering a rare opportunity to disconnect from the ‘online’ and to live fully off-line and present. Enlli forces you to slow down, to reconnect with nature and each other. You can spend a week exploring, playing games, relaxing on the beach, cooking or enjoying picnics as a family in your garden or on the top of the mountain. Some might worry about what there is to do on a small island for a week with children – but with an Artist in Residence holding creative workshops, the Bird Observatory offering guided walks to discover the island wildlife, or impromptu football or rounders games the week soon disappears and stepping back onto the boat the following Saturday comes far too quickly. This week offers a week of freedom to make new friends in one of Wales’ most beautiful and unique places.

“Our favourite part of the week was meeting other families and seeing the children make new friendships. We also really valued the opportunity for our children to be immersed in Welsh culture, language and history, while being off-grid and away from the usual distractions of technology. Most of all, the island gave them a sense of freedom that is very hard to find elsewhere - the space to explore, roam and simply be children.”

Benefits of Families Week
We know that staying on Enlli is becoming increasingly challenging for many, either in accessing the bookings when availability is released, or due to financial constraints. We acknowledge this is particularly challenging for families. As a result of this we are offering the following opportunities through booking a holiday in Families Week:
- Houses let at 2026 prices
- Bookings only available for families
- Payments accepted in instalments throughout the year
- Lower deposit payment required to secure booking
Lower income subsidised house (new in 2027)
We appreciate that a holiday on Enlli is still out of reach for many families. We will be holding one house (sleeps 6) for a low-income family from Gwynedd to be let for only £200. We trust that you know your own situation best. Financial barriers look different for different families, and you do not need to match these examples to apply. The list below is to give you an idea of what low income can look like, and help you decide whether this applies to you.
- Your household income is lower than £30,000
- You are renting, i.e. don’t own your house or any other property
- You have additional costs from being disabled, or from caring for an elderly parent or disabled child
- You have periods of significantly lower earnings due to zero-hour contracts or self-employment
If you think you match any of these, please complete the relevant section within the booking form. We can only offer one space for a low-income family during 2027’s Families Week. Our process for choosing the low-income subsidised family will be to hold this open for expressions of interest until October 18th.We’ll put all names into a hat and pick one at random on October 19th .
How to Book
As we expect a lot of interest in Families Week, bookings will open via a form launching on Saturday, 19th September at 8am. This will invite families to submit their booking application, including details of the number of adults/children in their group and their preferred accommodation. Bookings will be accepted on a “first come, first served” basis and will close for priority family bookings on 1 January 2027. Bookings will be prioritized for those who have not visited Enlli before.
To join the mailing list for next year, please sign up below. People on this list will receive the link to the booking form for Family Week 2027 at 8am on 19th September.
Thank you to everyone who helped make the week a success.
